About the Lake Cowichan Disc Golf Association (LCDGA)

The Lake Cowichan Disc Golf Association (LCDGA) was founded with one goal: to grow the sport of disc golf in the Cowichan Valley by creating an inclusive, sustainable, and accessible course for all. We are a volunteer-driven, nonprofit community group committed to building more than just fairways - we’re building friendships, healthy habits, and civic pride.
Who We Are
We're a passionate group of disc golfers, outdoor enthusiasts, and community members who saw an opportunity to bring something new to Lake Cowichan, BC - permanent, high-quality disc golf course(s) for locals and visitors alike.
Formed in 2025, our association exists to:
Build and maintain the Greenwell Disc Golf Course & future courses
Promote disc golf through community events and tournaments
Offer opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels to participate
Foster partnerships with local businesses and organizations
Protect and preserve the natural beauty of our course area

Since our founding, we’ve been proud to:
Launch Lake Cowichan’s first disc golf course
Build a growing community
Raise funds through generous donations and memberships
Host introductory clinics and fun local events
Incorporate environmentally respectful design and volunteer stewardship
Our Journey
Fall 2024 – Planning and construction begin at Greenwell AB area
Late 2024 – Soft opening of the Greenwell Disc Golf Course
Summer 2025 – Official Grand Opening
